It was almost 100 years before the Egyptians where strong enough to fight them and even then it took 30 years to defeat them. The 25th Dynasty of Egypt where also foreign kings who had taken control during 945 BC under king Shoshenq founding the Libyan or Bubastite dynasty which ruled for 200 years.
