Freedoms and power went from most wealthy and most educated, to least wealthy and least educated, by sex and then, by race. In order of most freedom and power:
By the late 1800s, all "foreigners" joined this list regardless of skin color, and all at the bottom, even if wealthy and well educated. In fact, wealth among immigrants was despised and demeaned, especially when a White poorer man compared himself to a wealthier "foreigner"-- anyone who immigrated from overseas. If the wealthier "foreigner" also did not speak English, Whites viewed them as even more suspect, conniving, untrustworthy, sneaky, liars, and to be feared (because they probably spoke poorly against a white whenever the foreigner spoke their native language-- even if the translation was, "I'm very glad to meet you." Not understanding other languages made Whites FEEL stupid, but they blamed foreigners for MAKING them feel stupid. White workers were angry because they felt foreigners took their jobs in coal mines, steel mills, and as laborers on farms.

This helped establish the United States as a dominant power in the region.
In the year 1619 was the first arrival of enslaved African Americans to the English colonies
