Any hamster is ok with being handled once they're used to it. You have to tame them when they are young. And dwarf hamsters are best for keeping in pairs. Not Syrian hamsters because they will fight.
Hope this helps!
Yes, since Russian Hamsters are Dwarf Hamsters - they can be kept in groups
Syrian hamsters must be kept alone because they are very terotorial and will fight, all other types of hamsters should be kept in pairs.
With most syrian hamsters, any genders should not be kept together long after being weaned as they will begin to fight or even kill each other. However, as Russian, Chinese and dwarf hamsters are colonial creatures, they can be kept together.
Most of the time, i have 2 Chinese dwarf hamsters kept in the same cage and they are fine, Hope This Helps
Hamsters can be very territorial. They are better off kept on their own.
not all hamsters have to be kept alone, in fact most hamsters like to be with others from the same type or family. dwarf hamsters, Chinese hamsters, robo dwarf hamsters, and lots more all like to be with family and others. If they are kept alone its either because of its personality, if they are put together with a type they don't connect with or because they see a threat . i hope this helps:)
No, syrian hamster are known to be SOLITARY animals so they dont need to be in a pair. They are very happy been kept alone.
Hamsters certainly existed at that time. Hamsters only became kept as a domestic pet though in the 20th century.
If they are kept together, yeah. If they are brother dwarf hamsters they may not fight but if they are Syrian hamsters they will kill each other.
Teddy bear hamsters (Also known as Syrian Hamsters) don't really talk to each other that much because they prefer being alone. If you put two of those hamsters together, they might start to fight so it's best they are kept apart.
it's really your call. If you want to have more then one, go for it! They like being together, but really don't mind being alone as long as they have you!
Yes that's why they are kept as pets!
