Hitler and the Nazi Party of Germany started invading other European Nations and finally other countries started to join in with Germany as they had similar political views, and other countries opposed Germany and fought to Nazi's and their allies in support of the invaded European nations. The war turned when Japan took it upon themselves to attack a neutral United States of America with the bombings of Pearl Harbor, The United States declared war on Japan and as a result 3-days later entered World War 2 which changed the landscape of the war as Germany was already occupying European countries such as France, Poland, and others. With the USA now in the war the tides quickly turned and Germany was defeated after American troops stormed Omaha Beach and provided an entry point for Allied Powers to enter Europe.

On a side note, many people think the atomic bombs ended World War 2. This is incorrect, the World War was over sometime before the USA dropped the atomic bombs. keep in mind the whole reason the USA entered the war was the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. After WW2 ended, the USA continued to fight Japan until the middle part of 1945, when 2 atomic bombs were dropped on Japan bringing that war to an end
