Depends a bit on if it's a manual or automatic transmission.

On a manual trans, you'd have to ride the clutch to get it started. And you'd probably glaze the clutch quite soon.

On a manual trans, take-off would be slower but otherwise no big deal.


Metal shavings from damaged parts could contaminate the trans fluid and further damage could happen.
