A travesty occured in the Central and Southern Jutland area of Denmark in 1864 when Prussian and Austrian troops invaded, culminating in a fierce battle in the Dybbol fort on April 18, 1864, during which thousands were killed on both sides and more were maimed.
After a visit to the Dybbol Banke Historical Centre, the creators of this group felt that, whilst they could not change the course of history, they would endeavour to bring this incident to the attention of the world on behalf of the wonderful people of this region.
