What happend to contacts when new version of iPhone is updated on your iPhone?

Why do people not use detail in their questions? ANYWAY...
- If you can't find the app, it must be on the next page or something, maybe a folder.
- If you see a change in the app (I am assuming iOS 5 because you just said the "new version") you might be having trouble editing and adding contacts. If you cannot find the buttons, just go into Settings>iCloud>and turn on contacts. This happened on my iPod Touch.
