What happened at the end of The Royals?

After the death of Vesper Lynd, James Bond finds out that Vesper had a boyfriend who was kidnapped by the organization (later found to be Quantum) associated with Mr. White and Le Chiffre. He also finds out that Vesper was to give up the Poker winnings in exchange for his life. Inspecting her phone, he finds her text with Mr. White's name and phone number. He later finds Mr. White and calls him. He answers and says "Who is this?", and is shot by Bond in the leg. As White crawls up to a set of stairs, Bond is standing there, sniper rifle in hand. He then says "The name's Bond...James Bond."
