well, for one, Susan B. Anthony and elizabeth cady Stanton both started a convention to let people know about discrimination and women's rights. they were both suffragists, and shared their feelings about feminism and discrimination against women.

that's one thing i know for sure, but i also need to know other things that happened in the mid- and late- 1840's so please send answers!!! =]
