Well if you didn't watch the pilot episode Alison the like '' LEADER'' of the five girls goes missing after being last seen by Aria, Hanna, Spencer, and Emily. Spencer went to look for Alison and didn't find her. They were all in Spencer's barn when she went missing. What they later find out is after a year Alison's body is discovered DEAD. After the memorial service they all get a text saying '' I'm back b's and I know everything A.'' Which then causes them to go on a quest to find out who ''A'' is and why she is trying to hurt them or kill them.
