Hungarian Crisis- relations between the Soviet Union and Western Europe soured. The Hungarian Revolution caused Hungarians dissidents to launch a popular uprising in November 1956 to demand democratic reforms. For several days they had control of the government but Soviet troops soon took over again.
The Sino-Soviet split or better said the dispute, was accelerated from its original position in September of 1962 by the October Sin-Indian and Cuban crises. This was well documented in November, December and January at the pro-Soviet congresses held in Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, East Germany and Czechoslovakia.
