H. Salt Esq. Arthur Treacher's Fish and Chips. It's competition was Long John Silvers and Captain D's.
Both Arthur Treachers and H. Salt Fish and Chips started around the same time which was late 60's, early 70's. Pretty much the same menu. Sure would like them back
When I worked for them in Texas in the mid 70's, they were owned by Smirnoff, the liquor folks. that was the problem. They might have known booze, but knew nothing about the restaurant business. They had much better fish than LJS and Capt'n D's, they just had no marketing sense.
It is chips.
A fish starting with H is haddock.
i think ........ Halibut
H. S. Salt has written: 'The life of James Thomson ('B.V')'
