Catherine Parr was the last of Henry VIII's wives. The King made sure she was well provided for in his will. Parr married another man not long after the King's death, but outlived Henry VIII by only a little more than one year.

∙ 15y agoCatherine of Aragon (who was the first wife of Henry VIII.) died on 7 January 1536. Her death sparked rumours than she had been poisoned by Anne Boleyn and/or King Henry. The rumours were born after discovery during her embalming that her heart was blackened. Modern medical experts believe she actually died of cancer. Catherine Howard (the fifth wife of Henry VIII.) was found guilty of the charges of treason and adultery and beheaded at 7am on 13 February 1542. Catherine Parr (the sixth and last wife of Henry VIII) survived Henry, after Henry's death, she married Thomas Seymour, and died whilst giving birth to their daughter Mary on 7th September 1548.
