What happened to Intercontinental life insurance co?

APPARENTLY THEY ARE ALIVE AND WELL...phone number is 800 925 6000. They are now called Intercontinental Life Corporation and they are based in Austin Texas. My father had a life insurance policy( dated back to 1982) with them and I thought they were out of business, but I just called the above number, put in his social security number and Voila! confirmed he as does indeed have a policy with them... will have to call back during normal business hours to find out more
