Collins himself wasnot married. His siblings remained in Ireland, in Dublin and west Cork. 2 of his Great nieces entered politics for the Fine Gael (christian democrat)party - Nora Owen(O'Mahony) was member of parliament for north dublin, a cabinet minister - justice- until she lost her seat in 2002. Her sister Mary Banotti was member of the European parliament for dublin for many years until her retirement in 2004. she contested the 1997 presidential election, coming second with about 40% of vote. Fine Gael party website would be useful.
