Fred G. salerno was the CEO of Salerno. It was his company. His son took over upon Fre's death and when George Salerno died Alice Salerno took over(his sister). The company was thern sold and no longer was in the family.
In this week's Jewel-Osco ad (Chicagoland) there is an ad for Salerno Butter cookies. The ad is 2 fo $8 regular price is 2 for $9.50. I have no idea where they found these cookies. Maybe they came across skids of them in their warehouse. Personally, I'm torn. I miss that great taste but $4 for a 1 lb box is outrageous
Nowhere. Salerno stopped making them many years ago. I have found some people are confusing Nabisco's "Marshmallow Cookies" with the Hippodrome. Some are even saying Hippodromes never existed and were only called Marshmallow Cookies...NOT TRUE! I loved Hippodromes.
This is a matter of opinion, but personally, I would perfer cupcakes in less the cookies are all chocolate with mint chips. Than I perfer cookies.
Are Cosmic Blasters cookies still made
* molasses cookies * macaroons * maringue cookes * Mexican wedding cakes * marshmallow pies * mint chocolate sandwich cookies

There are several recipes which use Mint leaves, such as: Chocolate mint cookies, and little lamb ball soup, and if you like mint in your drink, you should try the mint icecubes!
