People in the Senate thought he would change the Roman religion so the legends say that a friend told him not to go to the Senate that day and beware the Ides of March (March 15). Julius ignored this comment and went to the Senate, when he got there, he was stabbed to death by senators. The senators thought that they saved Rome from Dictatorship.
