He was assassinated by Gavrilo Princip
World War One Started..
happened in1914-1918. The first use of chemical weapons was the mustard gas. The world war one was known as the Great War before WW2 happened as it was supposed to be the war to end all wars. The Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand has been blamed as the catalyst for WW1.The sinking of the Lusitania in 1915 bought the US into the war, Despite the Germans leaving a message in the American papers, America sent one anyway
i dont know what this has to do with health but the main reasons of the war is... well, M.A.I.N militerism, alliances, imperialism, and nationalism also the glorification of war helped the arms race meaning if one country is getting ready for war meaning mobolizing then the other country has to do more than the first country so when this happened tension rised. Also the assassination of Archduke Ferniand in Austria caused problems.
The two go hand in hand, the assassination was the short term cause of the war. When you look at the war as a whole there were numerous long term causes such as the militarism, building alliances and imperialism of the major European powers of the time. So the was waiting to happen and the assassination of Franz Ferdinand was just the spark that ignited the fire, the war probably would have happened without the assassination but the assassination would not be as well known had it not started the war.
World War I.
The Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria occured on June 28, 1914.
War broke out in that part of Europe that rapidly spread and started world war 1.
it hit franz Ferdinand in the left side of his chest
Austria-Hungary blamed Serbia for the assassination. The assassination happened in Bosnia, which was ruled by Austria-Hungary at the time; Bosnian separatists murdered the Archduke with some assistance from Serbian intelligence officials. The Austrian government, of course, found out about this and was not too happy.
major event that happened during the world war 1 in Sweden?
Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated, along with his wife Sophie, on June 28, 1914, while visiting Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (which was then under administration by Austria-Hungary). The assassination set off a chain of events that would lead to the start of World War I barely one month later.
It would have taken slightly longer for World War I to start. It's naive to think it wouldn't have happened at all, though. Franz Ferdinand's assassination was more of an "excuse" than a "reason."
Who's assassination? There were several.
the assassination of archduke Ferdinand and his wife was a big part of what started world war 1. it was a member of the Black Hand group that killed them. their driver took a wrong turn and the Black Hand people finally decided that the archduke wasnt coming so the started leaving and one of the members of the Black Hand saw them on the wrong road and ran up and shot the archduke and his wife
The six assassins caught by Austria-Hungary were tried and convicted of treason. The leader, Danilo Ilić, was hanged. The remaining assassins in custody were not yet twenty years old at the time of the assassination and so were given prison terms.
In 1914 Sarajevo was in the Austro-Hungarian Empire which had illegally annexed and occupied the former Ottoman and mainly Serbian populated province of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
