When the Nazis invaded the Checks, the league of nations stepped in and said like, "Hey Hitler, we can't just let you go and invade countries, we don't want another WW here!" and Hitler said "Just give me Czechoslovikia and I'll be happy." so, considering the fact that Czechoslovikia is a tiny country with no chances of ever defeating Germany, they handed it over not wanting to start another world war. Of course, Hitler was a dictator never satisfied with what he had and kept concoring until WW2 came about.
