I would depend on how much he ate. A small amount would probably not do any harm. But a larger quantity may give him the colic or even cause an impaction. Keep all feed (horse or chicken) locked up. I have known of horses turning doorknobs, lifting or sliding latches, ect, to get to the feed. Any feed needs to be kept locked.
It will probably just become overweight or unhealthy. Watch how much you feed your horses!
A quarter horse eats what every other horse does, it eats hay, grain, sweet feed, grass, apples, sugar cubes, carrots, etc.
When they are fed good quality food in the right amounts they thrive. Bad feed can make them sick, cause malnutrician and may shorten their lives.
Any hay can founder a horse, it is not what the horse eats but how much it eats. Some feed can founder a horse faster than others. Peanut hay is one of those.
A horse usually eats out of a feed container called a trough. Some horses eat out of a feed bucket. It depends on what the owner provides.
a starwberry (roan)/or just quarter horse eats what any orther horse eats like hay ,grains, feed, grass, apples, suarger cubes, carrots, etc. :) thanks
no i have 2 horses grain or oats would be better
if you are having trouble with your horse cutting her ankles accidentaly, why dont you try wraping her legs when she eats, and make sure there aren't any sharp edges on the feed buckets... hope this helped
It Goes into Hyper-Maniac Mode and eats YOU afterwards. So Yeah, Better not Feed it :)
I don't think it's a good idea. Scratch is made for the digestion of poultry, which is vastly different than the complicated gut of a horse. I'm all for giving my horses treats, but always apples, carrots or horse cookies made for horses. I would advise to leave the scratch to the chickens.
don't feed your dog that!
Unless he eats huge quantities of it probably not, but it's best to feed him feed formulated just for horses.
