Yes, any cat can lose their whiskers. They will not die. In fact, the whiskers come back! It's just like loosing eyelashes! However, when a cat looses some whiskers it's balance is cut off alittle bit until the new ones come in. No worries, really.

∙ 12y agoIt could mean it has a hair loss desease called mange. There are two types, which I can't spell so you can look up the causes, and definitions elswhere. But I do know that one is HIGHLY contageos. The other is not. My advice is to take your beloved animal to the vet ASAP to have it checked out. Best case sanario, he or she is just old. Worst case, you pet will have to stay at the vet to be treated.

∙ 11y agoIt will eventually be replaced. A cat's whiskers are just modified hairs. They regularly fall out and get replaced.
