when the field winding of a running dc shunt motor suddenly breaks open the motor fails to run because in the motor the stationary winding is armature and rotatory is field winding
Yes it will run. That said you will be shortening the life of the motor due to the excessive heat generated at the higher voltage. The insulation of the motor winding is related to the voltage that is applied to the motor. With excessive heat comes insulation breakdown. Once the insulation breaks down, the winding will start to short circuit. With a short circuit on the motor winding copper wire is lost. Think of a welder when an arc is struck. Once this happens to a motor it becomes non operational and a rewind is the only way that the motor is going to become operational again.Install a Buck & Boost transformer rate for the HP of the motor that will Buck the supply voltage for the motor down to 230 volts. This is the recommended way and the only way it should be done. Any good commercial electrical supply house can help you properly size the transformer that you will need.Read more: How_do_you_run_a_motor_208_volts_ac_in_a_230_volts_suply
It could be called the 'point of failure.'
There are 2 types of breaks in HTML. One is the line break i.e.
and the horizontal line break
.
If a diode breaks down in the reverse direction then, providing there is current-limiting resistance, nothing will happen to the diode. If there is no such current-limiting resistance the diode will be destroyed. Heat is the only enemy of a semiconductor of this type.
take short breaks
Running out of gas, timing chain breaks.

It will stop running. It could do major damage to the valve/piston or you could get lucky and it will just need the belt replaced.

There will be no music.
usually if a girl suddenly breaks eye contact after staring at you it means she is embarrassed that she was caught staring at you.
