Tetanus [TET-nus] is a condition that affects the nervous system and causes painful, uncontrolled muscle spasms. It is an anaerobic bacterium, Clostridium tetani. It can produce muscle spasms ("lockjaw"), severe illness or even death, if contracted. Thus, it is important to stay current on tetanus vaccine boosters (every 10 years). Watch out for those rusty nails, and do not eat from cans in which the lid has popped upwards (indicating the gas release from the C. tetani bacterium).
Continual spasms until the nerve is repaired, which takes years and years if ever.

people that has disability due to having cerebral palsy are not "victims". They are people, who, happen to be dis-abled. Their lifespans are normal or near normal. And they should be treated with the same respect as anyone. Complications can result from CP that reduce lifespan but this is rare, is usually not by much and happens mostly when the needs of changing muscle spascticity and needs due to aging are not met.
Answer I'VE BEEN TAKING METFORMIN FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND BOY I TELL YOU IT HAD CHARLIE HORSE IN MY LEGGS MANY OF TIME AND MY DR. INCREASE THE DOSE I HAD A MUSCLE SPASM IN THIGHS USALLY IT STOP AFTER THE BODY ADJUST TO ITAnswer I've been taking metformin for 12 years and I can't say that I've noticed any muscle spasims from using it, but then again no two people react the same way to meds. You would be far better off asking your doctor or your pharmist and see what they have to say as the metformin might not be your problem at all.
