I've been taking metformin for 12 years and I can't say that I've noticed any muscle spasims from using it, but then again no two people react the same way to meds. You would be far better off asking your doctor or your pharmist and see what they have to say as the metformin might not be your problem at all.
You can try stretching and massaging the muscle to stop your muscle spasms. You can also try using a hot or cold compress on it, or take a warm bath or shower. Another option is taking over-the-counter pain relievers.
Muscle spasms occur when a muscle is torn or overstretched. It starts with a muscle strain, known as a pulled muscle. The strains usually heal with time but if the pain is unbearable, patients may need to take pain medication along with applying ice or heat to relieve the pain.
I m pregnant,having UTI.and on baseline tests DM/GDM diagnosed accidentally.can I take metformin alongwith amoxil
Skelaxin is a muscle relaxer and is NOT an opiate drug. As far as I know it will not show up on any drug tests. I used to take it for muscle spasms.
If you are having muscle spasms and are looking for a way to relieve these symptoms without having to go to a doctor's office, simply take a long hot shower or bath, 2 tylonal extra strength and relax your muscles.
