∙ 14y agoI believe that it causes the blood to not clot and causes it to thin and also causes internal bleeding, and so the rat dies due to loss of blood. It is also is supposed to cause the animal to be thirsty so that they leave the building in search of water and so do not die there (causing a smell).
Vitamin K helps blood to thicken and clot. So that is the antidote for accidental consumption.
