Nothing special would happen if that all that was done. The act would be destruction of property or something like that and the perpetrator would be liable to prosecution. If convicted, he would be fined and maybe given a few days in jail.

If the turkey was tortured or killed in a cruel or dangerous way, the punishment would be more severe.
