The first thing you will notice is that it will take longer for the engine to warm up to normal operating temps, then you will see more of a swing in operating temperatures for different operations and ambient air temparatures. If it is very cold outside you may see the engine overcool when not working hard. Thus will be more of a nuisance than anything unless it's a diesel, then you may actually overcool the engine and cause excessive wear and tear on the engine and may cause fuel oil dilution ( diesel in your oil). Diesel's need a water temp above 140 degrees f when operating due to the high flashpoint (140f) of diesel compared to gasoline.
There is supposed to be an engine thermostat . Do you mean that someone has removed the engine thermostat ? What year of Ford Ranger and what year ?
The thermostat is located on the top of the engine, where the top radiator hose is connected. The hose has to be disconnected, and the inlet on the engine is removed, with the thermostat underneath.
The thermostat in the 2002 Blazer will most likely be in the top radiator hose engine inlet, depending on the engine in the vehicle. The top hose is removed then the inlet unbolted to reach the thermostat.
The thermostat on a Chevy 2.2 engine should be located under the top hose inlet. The top hose as well as the inlet need to be removed to get to the thermostat.
Your engine will get the best mileage at full operating temperature. If the thermostat is removed or too low a temperature unit the engine will use more fuel.
The thermostat is behind the alternator. Follow the bottom hose from the raiditor to the engine. In order to replace the thermostat alternator needs to be removed.
The thermostat should be located in the top radiator hose inlet at the engine. The hose and inlet need to be removed to change the thermostat.
It's on the drivers side of the engine, right near the air cleaner. There's a hose going into the pipe that has to be removed on the upper part of the engine. The thermostat is in there.
The thermostat is inside of the top radiator hose inlet on top of the engine. The hose and the housing will have to be removed to access the housing.
Replace it with the exact same temperature thermostat as the one you removed. Do not run the engine without a thermostat. The thermostat is required to keep the engine running at the optimum temperature that will give the best performance and mileage. If it is overheating running it without a thermostat is not the solution.
en the thermostat doesn't open it cant let the fluids flow into your engine causing it to overheat.
The thermostat for a 1999 Mercury Mystique is inside of the top water inlet. Remove the top radiator hose from the engine, and then inlet can be removed to get to the thermostat.
