In reality it would never happen because snakes do not eat each other. Aside from that they never eat from the back of an animal, they always start at the head. Now lets just say this scenario were to happen one could conclude that they would indefinitely eat each other. This is why the symbols of two snakes eating each other or of one snake eating itself are representations of infinity. This can be related (see related link).
