What happens if you accidentally eat raw meat Do you die or get really sick?

Eating raw meat is not the problem. It is what is in the raw meat that can be a problem. Bacteria and parisites are normally killed by the cooking process. Raw meat may cause all sorts of health related problems, particularly in the very young, very old, or those with compromised immune systems. Most adolescents and adults have the ability to fight off the germs, but it can still cause anything from mild discomfort to fevers and digestive tract problems. In some cases the bacteria can cause death.

Generally the worst that can happen is food poisoning, but if the meat was contaminated with something e.g. salmonella or E-coli then it could lead to a horrible illness and possibly death if you have a weak immune system. But if your really worried consult your doctor.

Technically, no. Eating the meat will not kill. However, bacteria that may also be eating that meat when you stick it in your mouth can kill you.

That is one reason why we cook meat (along with much of our food), to kill any bacteria that may be on or in the food.

This answer is based on the assumption that we are eating the raw meat and not talking about a ton of meat falling out of a plane and squshing you.
