I don't know your mechanical abilty but most cars you could take off the connecting hose and drain out the tank

don't think its dire like accidentally putting it in the oil !

but

I would flush and fill the cooling system ASAP myself

if you've ran the engine ..

I doubt you done little if any damage if you have but with all the chemicals out there lets not mix the two call a knowledgeable auto repair source locally if your hoping to spend many years with your car

What happens if you accidentally put oil in the coolant reservoir?

You are screwed! Get that radiator flushed by a profesional ASAP! ANOTHER SUGGESTION DO NOT RUN THE MOTOR HAVE IT TOWED TO A PROFESSIONAL. IF YOU DID RUN THE ENGINE GOODLUCK BUDDY HOPEFULLY IT DIDN'T AFFECT THE ENGINE IF SO YOUR GONNA HAVE A HELL OF A TIME REPLACING ALL THOSE HOSES AND YOUR RADIATOR AND HAVING YOUR COOLANT LINE REPLACED.

What happens if you put too much coolant in the radiator?

The extra coolant will simply be pushed into the reservoir once the coolant heats up enough. It is also possible that (especially if there is already some fluid in the reservoir) that it will be pushed out of the reservoir unto the ground. Radiator fluid (antifreeze) is toxic to animals (it tastes sweet and so animals may be attracted to it). Please clean up or spray down with plenty of water any coolant that leaks or pours on the ground.

What happens when you accidentally put coolant where motor oil goes?

You drain the oil immediately. If you run the engine with coolant mixed with the oil you will do serious harm to the engine. If you continue to drive it in this condition you will destroy the engine.
