As soon as your existing tax-disc expires - if you drive the vehicle on the road - you will get a ticket if you're stopped by the police. That includes driving from your home to the post office to renew the disc ! not sure what this has todo with computers... the answer is simply get into your car turn it on, use the pedals etc. however if you get caught you'll get fined. you should just buy a tax disc...there is no reason that you can't unless: A) you have no MOT - worse than no tax disc B) you have no insurance - worse than no tax disc C) you have no money - well....I know what that's like I know people who have driven without a tax disc, infact I have... for 2 days when I brought a car and didnt realise that it had no tax at the time.
