What happens if you don't know you are pregnant and keep taking birth control?

Taking birth control is taking hormones, so if you are taking these hormones within the first three months of the little baby trying to get formed all up right with everything working and everything in the right place,(if you know what I mean), then this is the time when you want to make sure you are getting plenty of everything you need, and staying away from anything that might harm developement of the fetus and also put the mother at risk for miscarriage, birth defects or deficiencies.. Spina bifida is prevented by making sure that you get plenty of folic acid in your diet, but it only works in the first 12 weeks. If you aren't taking care of your self then, you may have to face some problems later. Good nutrition and staying away from any drugs, alcohol or ciggarettes will go a long way to ensure a healthy baby. See a doctor as soon as possible if you should ever suspect that you might be. You can get a home pregnancy test and if it is positive, discontinue sexual relations and the use of the birth control pill until you are able to have it either confirmed or denied by the physician. If you get a negative, and then a week later you get another negative result, most likely you are not pregnant.
