The police can roadside check with the DVLA to see if one has been issued and, if so, you will be given a week to produce it at a police station. If you have not obtained a CBT or it has run out you will get points on your licence. If you do not have a licence, the points will be kept until you do. You are driving illegally so your insurance is invalid. Your vehicle could be impounded and scrapped. You may go to court and get a criminal conviction and a hefty fine.

Could police stop a person during a traffic stop could that person be put in a police car and the police get in the car the person driving and take off the person goes to jail without arrest warrant?
