Getting a vaccination twice sometimes happens when there is a doubt about whether or not a person has had the vaccination before. In these cases, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a new vaccination, and says there is little to no effect from having a repeat vaccination.

Usually nothing, except your purse will be a little lighter (meaning all that will be lost is the money you spent on a second vaccination).

There is no harm in receiving the same vaccine more than once as long as the two doses are not given at the same time. In fact, for those with undeveloped immune systems, such as children under 10, more than one flu vaccination is required for a full immunization. They are given in series.

It is also okay to get a vaccination even if you had the flu, and this may be suggested if you did not get lab confirmation of the exact strain of flu that made you sick. The vaccine will protect you from the strains that you did not come in contact with and won't harm you if it is the same strain you had.

Nothing. I have been vaccinated for the same thing several times, no ill effects.

Two chickenpox vaccines is the current recommendation for this series. In a toddler, these should be spaced at least three months apart. Once they are given, the series is complete.
