There is no harm in receiving the same vaccine more than once as long as the two doses are not given at the same time. In fact, for those with undeveloped immune systems, such as children under 10, more than one flu vaccination is required for a full immunization. They are given in series.
It is also okay to get a vaccination even if you had the flu, and this may be suggested if you did not get lab confirmation of the exact strain of flu that made you sick. The vaccine will protect you from the strains that you did not come in contact with and won't harm you if it is the same strain you had.

∙ 10y agoTwo chickenpox vaccines is the current recommendation for this series. In a toddler, these should be spaced at least three months apart. Once they are given, the series is complete.
