When you are on peaceful, no monsters will ever appear, even from spawners, and your health will automatically regenerate. You can still die from drowning, fall damage, and lava.
You may have your difficulty set to Peaceful. Monsters will not spawn in Peaceful mode.

You can't. Bones can only be dropped from skeletons, and they don't appear when the difficulty is set to peaceful.
