I have a Honda 300ex and i took the cover off and it seemed to run a little better and have better throttle response
Under the right hand engine cover, at the bottom.
Remove the air cleaner housing cover. The air filter will lift out. Set the new air filter in the housing and replace the cover to its original position.

Yes, it does but this cannot be seen from the outside of the engine. The oil filter is inside a cover on the right front of the crankcase. This cover is held in place by three bolts and has to be removed in order to change the filter inside.
Remove the seat and you will see a cover with 3 small bolts with and opening facing backwards. Take the bolts out and pull up on the cover and the filter is under it.

Check under back seat. I believe the filter is in a compartment with three bolts and a metal cover that must be removed for access.
Owners manual. remove glove box, cut plastic brace if this is the first time, remove metal brace, remove filter cover and pull out filter
i own a 92 nighthawk and the oil filter is on the front of the engine with a fin cover over it. the air filter is behind the left side cover. you have to remove the seat to get to it. then you'll find a plastic cover with 4 screws. you'll hhave to pull a strip thing from the bottom of the filter and it will come out. hope this helps. wild willy.
