Well, It really depends how long you had it for. If you had it for 8-12 weeks, you can take it out for about.. Give or take an hour. But if you take it out before its done healing the hole can shrink or close instantly! Also, after the healing time (8-12 Weeks) You should change the earring or leave it in, (doesn't matter) for the Whole year (365 Days,52 Weeks) until its FULLY Healed!

While this is occurring, take hand #2 and push the backing in a twisty motion away from the face. Do NOT take out a cartilage piercing if not in for 1 full year to 1.5 years in the risk of infection.
