i had to read it in school, all that really happens is that a child is growing up and when he is 16 hejoins the army ( its his name: peaceful, so he becomes a perivate- perivate peaceful). and he and his brother go fight and he falls in love and his love gets killed in the war, so he sees war differently. then his brither does something bad, (he dosent want to get killed) so he is shot by his own. and i cant remember the rest!
