Toggle = back and forth, or on and off. A toggle switch toggles (turns) a light or other device on or off. Good example is a light switch (the wall kind)-- a toggle switch must also be of the "throw the stick back and forth" kind. Which a light switch basically is.
Toggle means switch from one state to another. In an online exam, sometimes you are allowed to go back over all your questions and change the answer. This is sometimes called toggling. So in your exam once you have answered a question that is your answer and you can't change it.

Lets start with a toggle switch. A toggle switch is an electrical switch, similar to a common house light switch. It allows you turn turn off and on flow of electricity. On a guitar it is used to control which device is being used at any given time, such as the bridge or neck pick up of an electric guitar. It also allows use of both at the same time. So the 3 positions are,1- neck p'up, 2-bridge p'up or 3- both at the same time. A killswitch is used when you want to stop the flow of electricity and silence the sound, hence the name "kill" or stop immediately the electrical flow. On a guitar then, a killswitch is used to stop the sound immediately when it is pressed or flipped. A toggleswitch can switch (toggle) back and forth between electrical signals, one of which can be silence. In this case a toggleswitch is called a killswitch. A toggleswitch is often a flip type that has up, middle, down positions or sometimes, does not have a middle position. A killswitch is often a spring loaded push button on/off type. Buckethead employs this technique in his playing.
i did this with my truck (1985 Chevrolet scottsdale-305) and the best way i found to do this, is NOT by jumping straight off the starter, but by jumping straight off of the ignition switch mounted on the steering column. i looked up a wiring diagram for my specific model, found which wires ran to what (accessory, ign. and so forth) all i did was jump a toggle switch to the run circuit, and then jumped a push button to the ignition circuit. this way you can't start it unless you turn it to run position with the toggle switch.. plus you're able to turn the switch off to turn off the vehicle. i would suggest hiding the push button somewhere inconspicuous.. where your vehicle won't get stolen
