I don't know quite what your question means. Energy does not change, though it can change its form, such as kinetic energy changing into heat energy in your car brakes.
If electrical energy is transmitted from one place to another by conducting cables, the energy reappears at the far end, except that some will be lost by heating of the cables.
Similarly the energy produced by the car engine is transmitted through the transmission to the wheels, except for a proportion which is absorbed in the transmission and appears as heat.
It usually finishes up as heat.
If the energy is not transferred, it will stay where it was. Or it may be wasted somewhere.
Energy being transferred from place to place

Kinetic energy

Energy can be transferred from on place to another by several means, depending on the kind of energy. Ej: Gravitational Potential Energy can be transferred by raising a rock and letting it fall, changing the energy into Kinetic Energy.
it absorbs it and passes it on.
its being transferred
Electromagnetic energy is transferred from one location to another.
The excess energy is transferred to the particles as kinetic energy.
