When you heat a gas, the energy you supplied is converted into the gas molecule becoming more energetic (obviously) and will bounce against its fellows more vigorously, and if free to do so, all the molecules will expand the volume they occupy.....

Added:

..... and / or pressure increases.

They become more excited and move faster, banging into one another.

If they are in a confined space, they will want to get out, that is, expand.

For a constant amount (weight) of gas held in a constant Volume, the Pressure will vary directly with changes in Absolute Temperature.

Is the gas in a container that'll expand, like a balloon? If you heat gas in a container that will expand, the container will swell. If you heat it in a container that won't expand, like a propane tank, the pressure will go up.

This is why it's so critical to get flammable gas cylinders out of the building in case of fire, if it can be done safely: if you heat gas in a cylinder hot enough, the pressure-relief feature of the cylinder will allow gas to escape and fuel will be added to the fire. (If you can't get them out safely, it's critical to run like hell as far away from the building as you possibly can, so you won't be killed when the gas explodes.)

When a gas is heated, its volume will increase. If it is in a fixed container so that its volume can't increase, then its pressure will increase.

The gas molecules will begin to excite and move more rapidly and collide more frequently with their container.

Either the volume the gas takes up or the pressure it exerts will increase (or both, but at lesser amounts than if alone).

In response to you're stupid gramatically incorrect question, gas ignites. Meaning it sets fire.

The particles will move faster. If you heat a substances to much then it will turn into plasma, the fourth and most common state of matter.

By heating the volume of a gas is bigger; in a closed container the pressure is increased.

Solids ---heat---> Liquids ---more heat---> gases

The process by which gases hold heat in the atmosphere is called the what?

The Greenhouse Effect. It happens when Greenhouse Gases (CO2) thicken the atmosphere and trap heat.

This occurs when gases heat up?

expantion

Can you heat up hot chocolate or heat boiling water with abdominal gas?

yes though the gases in you stomach are mainly for digestion they also heat things up as any external gases.

it depends on the gas

What happens when synthetic fibers are burnt?

Synthetic fibers release poisonous gases and heat, when burnt.

What happens when greenhouse gases accumulate in the atmosphere?

They trap heat from the Sun's rays which results in these extra amount of heat to disrupt the natural systems .

What happens as the sun's heat warms the earth's surface?

The heat rises in the form of infrared radiation, which is easily captured by the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Do gases heat up when compressed?

Yes, gases heat up when they are compressed because the compression increases the gas molecules' kinetic energy, leading to a rise in temperature. This is known as adiabatic heating.

How are green house gases made?

Gases are made when you heat up solids or liquids. Liquids are made when you cool down gases or heat up solids. Solids are made when you cool down gases or solids. When you heat up solids they make liquids and when you heat up liquids it makes gases. When you heat up gases it makes plasma (plas-mu) but that is very very very very very very hard to make.

What is the geenhousee effect?

its when greenhouse gases build up and these gases traps the sun's heat, resulting in global warming
