Well first off this is going to contain *SPOILERS* so if you havn't read it don't read this. What happens between Max and Fang is Max sees Fang kissing a girl when they are in school. Max gets mad at that but doesn't show it to Fang until later on in the book. Max then gets asked out by a boy named Sam and then Fang gets mad. So really they get each other jealous.
