If that is so, then there must be a point somewhere between the leading edge and the trailing edge where there will be no change in the pitching moment of the aerofoil as the pressure pattern on the aerofoil changes. That is the AC and it is found at about 25% of the chord. The AC is defined as a point on the chord line that : (1) does not move as angle of attack is changed (2) the pitching moment of a wing is always constant about it
