There were comparatively few Muslims in the US prior to World War II (1939). Why did some people have great great great great grandparents during the Famine?

Probably because of the abundance of relatives; there was a great increase in the population, which is why the Famine hurt Ireland so badly. Back then, many women had children young. The mathematics of it: If #1 gives birth to #2 when she is fourteen, and # 2 gives birth to #3 when she is fourteen as well, #1 is a grandmother at the age of twenty-eight. If #3 gives birth at 14, #1 is a great-grandmother at the age of 42. If #4 gives birth at 14, #1 is now a great-great grandmother at the age of 56. If #5 gives birth at 14, #1 i a great-great-great grandmother at the age of 70. And if #6 gives birth at 14, #1 is a great-great-great-great grandmother at the age of 84, if she lives that long. This is assuming that the children are all girls. Even if they were males, the boys would likely have married young and their wives produced children/

Did birth rates increase during industrialization?

The Birth rate increased after ww1. As soon as what was left of the men came back from the war the first thing that happens is that the men and woman try to make up for lost time This has always been the case after a disaster of any kind has decimated a population. there is an increase in births to make up for it. after the war and prior to the great depression there was an abundance of work and a feeling of general confidence which also had a positive effect on sexual activity. The increase was slowed as a result of the great depression However by this time there was plenty of fodder to throw into WW2.
