Your blood transports Oxygen and nutrients around the body and removes waste gases. White blood cells help fight infection and Platelets help with clotting amongst other things. Your organs would fail and you would die.

∙ 13y agoAn individual with no blood would die in a very short period of time. Unconsciousness would occur in seconds, and death would follow within minutes.
Your blood caries oxygen to the rest of your body. Without blood your cells would basically suffocate.

When should I fast before blood work?
6 hours i believe is the standard before having blood work. I've sometimes cheated with an apple juice, but in general you should drink only water, and dont over hydrate! this could thin the blood just enough to disrupt testing.
