If one was to boil a wool jacket it would more than likely shrink to quite a small size. It can be pulled back in to shape by stretching the material whilst wet.
Wool is very durable - a good weave out of high quality wool can create a piece of fabric that will last a decade or better if cared for properly.
Wool holds lot of air. As air is a bad conductor of heat, this makes the wool a bad conductor of heat, but a good insulator.
wool!
wool
yes it is because wool has air pockets which keep in all the heat and block out the conduction of heat, convection and radiation.
wool is a insulator
yes and no it depends on what wool and what you want to insulate ?
As wool keeps you warm and retains body heat
It metamorphoses into gneiss
no, but it traps heat b/w its layers
you will destroy the wool that will happen for sure.
Nothing happens. I have amber and wear it with wool and other clothing. At the very most there is friction.
