As his Body parts were falling into a pit he detached his head and cursed out shikamaru. Then he collapsed the pit. then hidan, (or at least what was left of him) Was trapped in the pit. He is slowly dying from lack of nutrition. I mean, even members of the akatsuki need to eat!
