Ca + H2SO4 yields CaSO4 + H2
When a metal reacts with an acid, hydrogen gas and a salt is formed.
In this reaction, Calcium sulfate (a salt) and hydrogen gas (H2) is formed.
A metal (below hydrogen in E.C.S.) as Zinc reacts with dilute sulphuric acid and produces hydrogen gas.
