No. They will be Siberian Husky mixes. They may well show many Sibe traits because they will indeed be half Sibe, but the other half of their genetics comes from the stray--who is more likely to be a mixed breed.
I suppose if she happened to mate with a stray Sibe, yes the puppies would be Sibes, but... that's rather unlikely.
Siberian huskies originally live in siberia (a place in russia) and they were brought to Canada and Alaska (they like snowy places, i guess). Siberian huskies mate, and then the female become pregnant and then she gives birth to up to about five pups, and raises them without the father's help.
Siberian huskies can become very aggressive and dangerous dogs if they do not have enough exercise each day and also they are the 4th most aggressive and dangerous breed after the German shepherd due to its attacks on other dogs, strangers, kids etc.
No because they always hump other dogs so they become very healthy
Yes, Huskies love the company of other canids and may become frustrated and lonely if denied this companionship. Huskies were first bred to work in teams (like a pack) to pull sleighs, meaning they are a very social breed. However, if your Huskies are not used to each other, introduce them on neutral ground first to prevent any territorial fighting.
Siberian Huskies should weigh between 35 and 60 pounds, and as an active breed they should never become overweight.
it would be very unlikely that huskies (the breed of dog) could become extinct.
The breed standard for Siberian Huskies says male dogs should stand 21-23½ inches, and females should be 20-22 inches in height. Males should weigh 45-60 pounds, and females weigh 35-50 pounds. That said, there are plenty of "non-breed-standard" dogs out there who are either larger or smaller. It depends, on if the mom and dad were big or small. It's not how the breed is, its how its genes are, that's like saying humans are normally 6 feet tall!
Huskies were bread and designed to run. They are about the 7th dog to the desendant from wolves. These huskies can handle temp. Of -70 degrees F. Balto a national hero to Alaskans lead a sled team to bring a cure that infects the lungs. The trip was 500 miles plus, so Siberians were bread for speed and a strong resilience to cold. A perfect running machine.
Huskies are actually a breed of dog and therefore likely never be endangered. The domesticated dog is very healthy as a species.
Yes. I havent seen it, but my friend has.
yes
Well, from my opinion Siberian Huskies are the most beautiful, smart, cute and the best dogs to own and live with. I even have one, a female, all white blue eyes, her name is Sasha. Anyways, here are some ups and downs to owning a Siberian: #1: ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS remember that Siberian Huskies have a thing that can't be treated and sometimes it gets in the way, they have a Separation Anxiety Disorder, and they DO sell books and magazines that can help a lot, and they do give a lot of tips on how to help it, for example, leave toys like balls, treats, rawhide, etc to help with the chewing and furniture. Every Siberian is different, some howl, some chew and some ( like mine) go insanely crazy. From my experience start off when they are puppies. #2: Sometimes training can be difficult. Siberians can be stubborn and will rather play then train. I totally would recommend buying a book on Siberian Husky Training at your local pet store. #3: Always have time to play and for your Siberian to get outside and play for at least an hour a day and to take a long walk and a few around the block 'cause Siberians love to run and play. Without the correct exercise they need they can get bored and become depressed. If you have a full time job and have no time to spend with your dog, then Siberians are not the right dog for you. And finally #4: Picking out your pup and where to buy, and diets, and also grooming. You should get your puppy from a breeder or a local animal shelter, depending on if you want a puppy or lets say an older dog from a animal shelter. If you get a breeder they can give you the information on what the puppy was fed/ or you can also get that information if you get your puppy from a pet store. I really don't recommend getting your puppy from a pet store because their puppies usually come from Puppy Mills. Make sure you get your puppy a proper lead and collar, and make sure that it has all your information and the puppies too, on the collar. Also get vitamins, treats and plenty of toys! There are lots to choose from. Also get your puppy a teething toy, they come in flavors, shapes that your puppy will love! You NEED to brush your Siberian once a day, I brush mine when we wake up and before we go to bed. Get your Siberian two good brushes. And only bathe your Siberian when needed. I love having my Sasha around, and its a pleasure living with her, and I hope you get a Siberian Husky soon too! They are a bundle of fun and joy. And also BEFORE your Siberian to get books on them, this will help a lot. From, Shannon & Sasha
